EnviroBlend® is a family of treatment chemicals, custom-blended to render metal-bearing wastes non-hazardous.
It was originally developed in the 1980s for foundry clients; It offered a new and more permanent alternative to lime-based treatment.
EnviroBlend technology does not conceal metal contamination via encapsulation or solidification; rather, it works to stabilize metals of concern by regulating pH and forming insoluble compounds that will not leach into the environment. For acid gases, it helps to neutralize emissions to acceptable regulated levels. Each EnviroBlend chemistry is designed specifically for each individual application, so the composition of blends can vary.
EnviroBlend works by regulating pH for long-term results.
In addition to forming insoluble compounds, EnviroBlend regulates the pH of the environment, a key factor in controlling leachability over time.
- Lead, for example, leaches on a bell curve, at both high and low pHs.
- To minimize leaching, the treatment additive should not drive up the pH too quickly or too high.
- EnviroBlend uses products that will never bring the pH to a dangerous level.
- We are able to increase treatment efficiency by controlling pH as needed.
EnviroBlend manages your heavy metal waste.
EnviroBlend’s technology results in stable compounds that reduce metal leaching in all reasonable disposal settings, alleviating your liability exposure and providing significant cost savings. We have continued to expand our line of treatment capabilities to include:
- Lead
- Cadmium
- Arsenic
- Hexavalent Chromium
- Selenium
- Antimony
- Zinc
- Nickel
- Copper
- Industrial gas emissions
- Odor control
- Wastes contaminated with multiple metals
Whether associated with conventional soil and groundwater remediation, industrial process waste stream treatment, or lead paint abatement, EnviroBlend provides a cost-effective, flexible, and stable approach to managing your heavy metal waste.

Southeast Ferrous Foundry
A ferrous foundry, located in the Southeast, has been using EnviroBlend CS Bulk and super sacks to treat lead and cadmium-contaminated dust from the cupola furnace for over 15 years. EnviroBlend is added in-line [...]
Southern US Ferrous Foundry
A ferrous foundry located in the southern US switched its heavy-metal waste treatment reagents from Bantox to EnviroBlend CS. EnviroBlend now helps them annually treat over 500 tons of lead and cadmium-contaminated ferrous dust [...]
